This year, celebrating the 4th of July feels foreign to me. Like many of you, I have concerns with everything that’s going on in our country and what that means for the future. (I don’t mean for this to be a political post). I’m a bit embarrassed that in 2017 we’re still facing these kinds of issues.
So this year, I plan to celebrate Independence Day by:
- Remembering kindness and empathy for everyone, even if we disagree
- Hoping great things for the future
- Praying for continued progress
